Convert BBQ from LPG to natural gas
We can make your LPG-bottled gas BBQ appliance run on natural gas or house gas. Many people don’t feel comfortable with LPG gas cylinders being stored away somewhere in the closet. Others prefer the convenience of using house gas for their BBQ appliance since it’s there when you need it as long as gas is connected and it works at your property. A gas outlet with a bayonet fitting is required and if you don’t have one, we are qualified to fit one for you at extra charge.
To convert LPG to a natural gas BBQ, we will do the following:
Remove LPG injectors from up to 4 burners on the new BBQ and fit natural gas injectors to burners
Carryout electronic gas test at BBQ burners
Carryout electronic gas test at new bayonet
Demonstrate the safe use of your modified appliance.
Some ‘handy men’ may be tempted to do the retrofit themselves – we must warn you, even if your BBQ will be sitting outside most of the time, do not tinker with your gas connections unless you’re a registered and qualified gas fitter. Watching too many YouTube videos may give some people the impression that they can do anything until something serious happens. Don’t put yours and your family’s health at risk!
In addition, as registered gas fitters, we will check, test and certify your new gas installation and forward the certification to the relevant gas authority.
